Streamline the data collection process

Alphapack streamlines the process of collecting data from accounting sources using the latest web-based technology. Alphapacks are created automatically from Alphatax computations, refined based on the type of company and then customised by the tax professional based on the company’s information requirements, before being made available over the internet to the finance professional.

Finance professionals install the Alphapack software package via a simple download and within minutes are connected securely to the Alphatax Enterprise database, giving them access to their Alphapack(s). There is no need for files to be sent over email, instead data is transferred over an encrypted internet connection. Data continuously flows back to the Enterprise database where it is safely stored.

Once the tax professional is satisfied with the quality of the data collected, a single press of a button instantly transfers the Alphapack into the Alphatax computation, ready for review and further work by the tax professional.

Alphapack uses the same “rich functionality” suite as Alphatax and is fully enabled for Accounts Analysis giving a structured and familiar format for entry of raw accounting data.

Importing and exporting data is a simple and speedy process.

Fully customisable content of the Alphapack file

Alphapacks can be customised before transfer to finance professionals and indeed throughout the collection cycle. The tax professional has the ability to:

  • Select and de-select statements for inclusion in the Alphapack
  • Hide or show tax technical inputs depending on the level of tax knowledge of the end user
  • Insert FreeFormat statements for information, guidance and bespoke content

All configurations can be saved and re-used for year-on-year continuity across groups/firms saving time and effort.

 Web-enabled data collection solution

Fast and secure data transfer takes place across the internet avoiding firewall issues traditionally associated with email.

Data is continuously saved securely on the Enterprise database throughout the collection cycle, providing up to date figures for all parties involved.

Alphapack is fully synchronised with the Alphatax Enterprise database allowing real-time data review.

Full audit trail and historical data

An audit trail is maintained for each save and for key events within each Alphapack.

Historical access to key milestone events is available for all Alphapacks, current and old.

All items of data entered are tagged with username and timestamp.
